Photopolymer is a light sensitive plate that can produce an intaglio or a relief surface. The plate can be intaglio wiped then relief rolled using separate color inks, then printed with an intaglio press. A transparency can be hand drawn on a variety of surfaces and can also be painted on with ink line and wash. In addition, a photographic image can be used to print the transparency and those interested will be shown a method to expand the value range of any image.

This workshop will cover all aspects of printing using photopolymer, including methods that do not involve an exposure unit, printer or computer. You will receive a small and large polymer plate, a sheet of printing paper and a brush for inking the plate.
