Learn the basics of Western marbling techniques in this one-day workshop, including tips on how to continue marbling at home by creating your own tools.
The workshop will focus on Western marbling techniques which involves the floating of color on a viscous solution and then carefully transferring it to an absorbent surface, such as paper.
Workshop price is $125 and includes use of all necessary equipment (trays, rakes, combs, etc.) and supplies (inks, alum, medium, paper) needed to create a number marbled sheets. If you have a particular paper you´d like to try and marble you are welcome to bring it as well.

Frank Trueba has been printmaking and making decorative paper for almost 20 years. He is a founding member of the printmaking co-op Printmakers at the Tannery (PATT) and helped in the creation of Open Ground Studios in Seaside, CA.
