Photopolymer is a light sensitive plate that can produce an intaglio or a re- lief surface. The plate can be intaglio wiped then relief rolled using separate color inks, then printed with an intaglio press. A transparency can be hand drawn on a variety of surfaces and can also be painted on with ink line and wash. In addition, a photo- graphic image can be used to print the transparency and those interested will be shown a method to expand the value range of any image.

This workshop will cover all aspects of printing using photopolymer, in- cluding methods that do not involve an exposure unit, printer or computer. You will receive a small and large polymer plate, a sheet of printing paper and a brush for inking the plate.
